Welcome to our 5K team page!
Ezra and I (Joshua) are thankful to be a part of Father Joe's Villages Thanksgiving Day 5K this year. I loved participating in this race every year when I lived in San Diego. As some of you may know I got my career started working at a veterans homeless shelter and the work that Father Joe’s Villages is near and dear to my heart. Ezra has now taken an interest in supporting those who are facing tough challenges in their lives and it was his idea to support this cause this year. As a father I couldn’t be more proud of him.
Father Joe's Villages is a one-stop-shop for getting people off the streets as they provide hope, medical treatment, therapeutic childcare, employment education and training, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and housing to those in need.
San Diego has one of the largest homeless populations in the country and the tragedy of homelessness touches everyone, including children and veterans. The 5K supports Father Joe's Villages' Food Services programs including the Franklin Antonio Public Lunch Line, drive-through food pantries, and 3 meals a day for people living in shelter.
Every donation, no matter how much, provides hot and nutritious meals to our hungry neighbors. Thank you for your support!
